and tips. It also

In
addition to his founding roles
with Career-Wise Australia and Career Pro, Mitch is Director of
Career Services for
the EastCoast Human Resource Group. He also trains and accredit
numerous
career counsellors in the use of the “Career
Voyage” career guidance software for JIIG-CAL
Australia.
For
over 10 years now Mitch has been working as a
professional career consultant with clients of all ages. He has
successfully
provided career support services
to numerous individuals and organisations, such as TAFE, Brisbane City
Council, Energex and Queensland Rail. He also runs career direction
and job search workshops at the University of Queensland through their
public ICTE courses.
Mitch
has the advantage of having worked in many fields himself. Roles have
included concrete worker, lifeguard, draftsman, town
planner, door-to-door salesman, English teacher in Korea,
youth
development worker, and community development consultant. His career in
his 20's and
early 30's took him all over the world and through many different
working experiences including
photojournalism in Hawaii, lecturing on leadership in Russia, and
facilitating international services projects in Turkey, Thailand,
Malaysia, the Philippines, and Guatemala. He has experience in the
corporate, government and community sectors in
Australia.
Mitch
now lives near the beach on the Sunshine Coast with Cynthia and 5
year old daughter, Zoe. He still goes surfing or kitesurfing
3 or 4 times a
week
when not assisting people
with
their careers. Mitch took the photo of Maroochy River above just after
dawn one morning on the way to the beach.
