This interactive program will develop your occupational interests
profile and job factors profile (preferred working conditions, talents,

consider. Information on each occupation, including customised
pros and
cons, is provided. You can engaged the program several times playing
"what if" by changing your inputs and the level at which you engage it
(e.g. you can choose jobs normally requiring no qualifications, TAFE

when offered with support by an accredited career advisor. The

the assessments and, just as importantly, the discussion with your
career counsellor we are normally able to identify 3 - 7 options for
you to then research and consider in more depth after the session.
You
will receive a comprehensive Career
Direction Guide (68 pages) via the
download centre which will provide you with a 7 step process and
resources to help you research and further evaluate these options.
(Note: the purpose of career counselling is to enable you to make
better career decisions and manage your career better... NOT try to
just give you
"the one" answer for what you should do.)
Time
permitting, we will also review your
current job search strategies, suggest improvements to maximize
the
effectiveness of your approach and review key elements such as your networking
techniques, resume, cover letters and interview skills.
There are seven major job search strategies from which we assist you to
select and implement the most effective strategies for your situation.
Most job seekers rely on one or two of the least effective strategies
and thus severely limit their chances! (For most job seekers applying
for advertised positions is the most demoralising, least effective job
search method.)
